This weekend, I visited Coburg House Art Studios for a Christmas shopping event.   I was on the look-out for some unusual seasonal gifts with my sister-in-law and we were excited to stumble upon the studio of Myer Halliday, an Edinburgh based ceramic artist.  We were immediately taken with the minimal forms, pattern and colour in his work.  Some of his ceramics are painted and some are drawn; the overall effect of these marks gives his pieces a graphic and almost Scandinavian feel.  (Think Marimekko or the graphic quality of Tove Jansson's illustrations).
