Sometimes less really is more.  These beautiful interiors grabbed me with their serene minimalism and attention to detail.  Each image is quite stark in terms of possessions but every object has been very carefully and deliberately placed to give an overall sense of coherence and great beauty.  Each of the images below remind me of an abstract painting, with dabs of colour and texture given in just the right quantity and in just the right place.  This artful 'arranging' is such a difficult thing to pull off when creating a new space and the perfect layout can often come about after a  great deal of trial and error.  All of the rooms depicted contain art on the walls which adds volumes to the individual schemes.   The subject matter and tone of these artworks complement the spaces they are in perfectly.

It is very easy when doing up a room to feel that everything must be on display which can make it look cluttered but these images show that just a few choice items and colours can contribute to a calm, beautiful space.. Enjoy!
